“Ayam Ketawa” (Gaga’s chicken), Gallus gallus domesticus is one of the ornamental chicken and had has an economic value. The aim of study was to determine the ornamental Gaga’s chicken based on morphometric and bioacoustic analysis. This paper was explained the morphometrics and bioacoustics characters of Gaga’s chicken from five subdistics in Pinrang (South Sulawesi) and Kebayoran Lama, Jakarta. There were two types of Gaga’s chicken according to bioacoustics analysis (crowing sound), namely “dangdut” type and “slow type”, respectively. Twenty samples were collected from Pinrang, South Sulawesi, and the rest of seven samples were collected from Kebayoran Lama, Southern Jakarta, respectively. The Gaga’s chicken body weight was not significant different from Pinrang and Kebayoran Lama either in “slow type” or “dangdut type”. In contrast, the neck bone length of Gaga’s chicken in the “dangdut type” from Pinrang was longer (P<0.05) than Kebayoran Lama. According to the vocal cord morphometric, so, the trachea muscle of dangdut type was longer than the slow type (a < 0.010). In addition, either the right or the left trachea muscle of dangdut type was longer than either the right or the left trachea muscle of the slow type (a < 0.010). Based on bioacoustic analysis of “dangdut type” shown more beats (4-7 times) than “slow type” (3-5 times).
