Abstract

The healthy growth of Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) in the intensive cultivation system causes loss of soil productivity. A useful alternative is the application of an organo-mineral complex, called REGENA MIN-LH 15® The purpose of this work was to analyze the response of S. lycopersicum in poor soil treated with REGENA MIN-LH 15® improved with A. niger and P. chrysogenum. There, disinfected and undisinfected S. lycopersicum seeds were sown, with the only response variable: biomass at seedling and flowering, the experimental data were analyzed by ANOVA/Tukey (P 0.05). The results showed rapid germination when the S. lycopersicum seed that was disinfected was sown in soil poor in nitrogen and phosphorus treated with REGENA MIN-LH 15® plus A. niger and P. chrysogenum according to fresh/dry weight to seedling and flowering: the disinfected seed recorded 0.467 g of aerial dry weight (ADW) and 0.060 g of radical dry weight (RDW), numerical values with statistical difference compared to the 0.436 g of ADW and the 0.039 g of RDW of the seed disinfected from S. lycopersicum fed only with a 100% mineral solution (relative control) without REGENA MIN-LH 15® or A. niger/P. chrysogenum. These results support that REGENA MIN-LH 15® with A. niger and P. chrysogenum can be an option for the restoration of the chemical properties associated with the productivity of an agricultural soil, without compromising the healthy growth of S. lycopersicum.
