Abstract

Nanometallic materials are metals and alloys that form nanocrystalline grains with particle size of about 5 to 100 nm. Nanoscale metals are widely used in many fields such as environment, medicine, and engineering that synthesis of nanoscale metals is a timely topic. Green synthesis has several benefits over traditional chemical synthesis, including lower costs, less pollution, and better safety for the environment and human health. the most recent advancements in producing ecologically safe nanoparticles of iron and its oxide (Fe NPs), copper (Cu NPs), palladium (Pd NPs), silver (Ag NPs), and gold (Au NPs). Terpenoids, flavones, ketones, aldehydes, proteins, amino acids, vitamins, alkaloids, tannins, phenolics, saponins, and polysaccharides are just a few of the plant's biomolecules that can be essential in reducing, capping, and stabilising processes that lead to the creation of Ag NPs.

In the current study, the synthesis of silver nanoparticles was rapidly synthesised by a greener approach using an Aqueous leaf extract of Albizia Lucidior. The metal oxide nanoparticles formation was observed within 4 hrs by a visual colour change from the green colour of Albizia lucidor extract into brownish-green. The synthesised nanoparticles were characterised by UV–visible spectrum, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Zeta potential, and particle size analyser. Further, the antioxidant activity of synthesised silver oxide nanoparticles shows effective anti-oxidant activity by DPPH assay. Silver nanoparticles ranged from 18-25 nm.
